In the winter months, stale, dry air permeates your home, decreasing the effectiveness of your heating system and your family’s comfort and health. Dehydrated air triggers respiratory infections and winter colds by drying out your sinuses, throat, and lungs. It can also warp furniture, crack paint, and structurally damage your home.

A humidifier installed in your present heating and cooling system adds moisture and combats the elements of dry air. It deposits an ultra-fine mist of water into the heated air before it circulates throughout the house. Since moist air feels warmer, a humidifying system can save money and energy by keeping your thermostat lower. Humidifiers work best in conjunction with a filtration system (please see Air Quality and Filtration) to ensure that the air you breath is clean, pleasant, and healthy.
